New Pricing: Now converting to Clean, Quiet & Safe Glass


Dear Customer:

As you may have heard from your local VELUX sales rep, building codes require that in out-of-reach overhead applications, skylights be installed with laminated glass.

While we continue to offer VELUX skylights in both tempered and laminated glass, we have made the decision to transition all of our FSR skylights to laminated Clean Quiet and Safe glass between now and the end of the year. We know FSR skylights (FS with extra wide deck seal) are almost always installed out of reach so it just makes sense for us to offer this product only in laminated Clean Quiet and Safe glass.

FSR D06 and FSR S06 are already only available in laminated Clean Quiet and Safe glass (type 2004). FSR D26 and FSR M02 will follow between now and the end of the year.

As you send orders for FSR D06 and FSR S06, please begin to send them with the new Clean Quiet and Safe glass prices shown here. In order to assist with this transition, VELUX will honor any existing quotes you may have for the FSR D06 and FSR S06 in 2005 glass prices in these two sizes until August 31st, 2014.

Note: In general the FSR, allows a finished opening variance of 2" on width and height for an ideal fit where the front of the drywall will be under the white skylight frame. An additional 2" in width and height variance will allow the skylight to fit the opening, but additional trim will be required.
